Kathryn's Prayer

Lord, You are good and Your mercy endures forever. Help us to remember this truth in this season of much change, tension, division, and uncertainty for our country. When we feel like no one knows what the future holds, help us to remember and take comfort in the fact that You know exactly what the future holds and You are completely sovereign over it all. We don’t have to be anxious or fearful because our faith is in a God who is all powerful, unchanging, trustworthy, and good.

Help us to be people who bring glory to You in this season – who respond to the world in a way that is different because we have Your Spirit in us, with the same power that rose Christ from the grave. And where Your Spirit is, there is freedom! Help us to love our neighbors, family, and fellow believers with the freedom that is brought with Your Spirit in us.

We love You, Lord, and praise You, for you are the only One worthy of our worship. Thank You for loving us, and showing us how to love.

We pray these things in the perfect and holy Name of Jesus. Amen.
